The project lead for the EPFL is Prof. Dominique Foray who holds the Chair of Economics and Management of Innovation (CEMI).

The sub-project of the EPFL team focuses on the policy implications of the project for the important questions related to innovation, diffusion and green growth. The EPFL team is working on the analysis of policy instruments using empirical studies and on observing and measuring the relevant knowledge base for green innovation. Empirical work on the effectiveness of and efficacy of policy instruments include :

1) The impact of the European Union Emission Trading Scheme on market power

2) The impact of environmental subsidy on adoption and R&D environmental investment

3) Green process innovation and production costs savings
